United Methodists hold to the a set of principles for Christian belief, faith and service. We are evangelical, but moderates rather than fundamentalists. We value the intellect and modern science, while at the same time looking to the Bible as the authoritative guide for faith and practice. Methodists have a passionate faith with strong convictions, but we also recognize that the world is not always black and white. We are willing to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do so with grace and compassion.
Expect a lively mix of traditional and contemporary songs. Expect a challenging sermon that intends for you to depart the sanctuary with the goal of loving God, loving your neighbor, and transforming the world.
At Grace, our services are practice for what we do as disciples. We pray together, and we bring our prayers with us. We sing together, and we take our song into the world. We read Scripture together as practice for what we do each day, and we expect each other to live what we read. We invite God to speak to us, and then we go about our lives listening for God’s voice in the everyday.
